The hope for relief from lower back pain with the purchase of a new mattress today. Will have it within the next couple of weeks.

The awesome group of guys that makes up the high school hockey team.

Repair technicians who actually show up somewhat close to the given window... or show up at all. Today we are 1-1 on that count.

For having a 100% involved co-parent in my Hubby because sometimes being a parent just sucks.

Holidays off from work when the kids are still in school.

Also for those who have or do serve our country so that we may enjoy the freedoms we do every day of our lives.

That there are women in this world who are okay with having more than two children -- especially my sister-in-law, because in a month I will have another gorgeous niece. Having more than two children is not anything I wanted, but I'm thrilled to have many nieces and nephews and godchildren!

Our new kitchen, which is so much more functional and way more beautiful than our old one. :)

A short, relatively painless commute to work (most days).

My mom. She's awesome. And today is her birthday. :)

Our pediatrician. She's a-maz-ing. I guess she's not technically a pediatrician. She's a physician's assistant. But she can prescribe meds, so she's the only person we see at the doctor's office. Keeper Boy has only two more years that he can see her. :(

My hubby... he took today and tomorrow off because he has time he has to use or lose before the end of the year. He didn't realize when he chose these two days that the kids are off school, too. I loaded him up on service calls and doctor appointments for the boys. He didn't complain [too much].

The annual extra hour of sleep.

Design and computer knowledge I can use to help my parents now and again... today we finally finished a photo book from their trip to Australia. We've been working on it for over a year when they visit.

On this last day of the month, I am thankful (as I am every year) that I don't have to come up with something specific that I'm thankful for anymore after today. I am thankful for so many things every day that it should be easy to pick one and post it. But it's not, or it doesn't seem to be for me (as evidenced by the fact that I just had to catch up on the last week's worth of these posts... doh!)

Today, and every day, I am thankful that I have a well-paying job that I enjoy 99% of the time. I have a great boss, and the people I work with are, by and large, a good group of people. My commute is 15 minutes or less and I can work at home when I need to. Having a job that allows you to pay the bills, eat, and have a roof over your head is good. Having a job that allows all of that, that you enjoy, and that provides enough extra to indulge your family's hockey habit and eat out a couple times a week is wonderful. I am truly thankful.

Facebook. I know that sounds weird, but I feel so much more connected to my family and some of my friends from high school and college that I otherwise would have no idea what it going on in their lives. My favorite part of Facebook is the photos that people post. :)
