Today I took a day off just get everything done that needed to be done. I should probably just do that once every couple of months. The day went like this:
- Took J-Mav to school at normal time.
- Drove to my surgery follow-up appointment, which was scheduled for 9:30am.
- Sat in the waiting room until 10:30am.
- Saw the doctor at 10:45am.
- Left there and went to consign items for a big annual sale I sometimes participate in.
- Met Hubby for lunch.
- Ran home to switch vehicles.
- Took the van to get an emissions inspection... necessary because the tags/registration expire tomorrow and emissions was needed to renew it.
- Went home and, over the next 45 minutes, paid registration online and printed temporary registration card to carry in van until new registration and plate stickers arrive; made reservation for hotel at airport for the night before we leave for Hawaii; and checked Blackboard for Keeper Boy's homework assignments.
- Once Keeper Boy got home from school, took him to the orthodontist.
- Sat in the waiting area while he adjustments made and learned how to put his rubber bands on his braces.
- Took Keeper Boy to the music store to buy a new pair of drumsticks to replace the ones he lost.
- Picked J-Mav up from SACC.
- Picked J-Mav's friend up from his house.
- Brought them both home.
- Got Hubby and Keeper Boy out the door for Keeper Boy's strength and conditioning class.
- SAT DOWN and read a magazine.
- Got dinner together.
- Ate dinner.
- Hovered while Keeper Boy did his homework to keep the "thinking" (aka, staring off into space) to a minimum.
- Got J-Mav into bed.
- Caught up on the day's email and played around on the computer.
