"I'm gonna ask mom if we can ride our bikes [to the pool] because the more we drive the more dirty air comes out of the pipes and then the birds can't sing as well. I know that."

Stanley the Caterpillar
Note: I updated the Stanley entries from the weekend to include J-Mav's corresponding journal entries. He didn't actually do them until we got home, so I didn't have them when I originally posted.
Today concludes J-Mav's Caterpillar Journal project. He had to turn the journal in when he arrived at school this morning. I am happy to report that Stanley is still alive and kickin'... and still growing! Nothing too exciting has happened since our return from Philadelphia, so there were no journal entries until his final one last night.
DAY 13 -- 5/28/09 -- THURSDAY
His hair is long and wacy. It gos cyps on grwing!
Translation: His hair is long and wacky. It just keeps on growing!

Seriously?!
This country is in the midst of a national crisis... waiting with baited breath... will Jon and Kate Gosslin work it out or divorce?!?
OMG! Are you serious?!? Who cares?!?
It's a TV show about an obsessive woman and her beaten down husband and their eight... yes, that's EIGHT... kids (six of whom are sextuplets). I admit, I have watched the show on several occasions. I can't however, tell you when its regular timeslot is. I just seem to watch bits and parts while channel surfing sometimes. I've seen it enough times to have formed the opinion that the kids are adorable; Kate is overbearing, mean to her husband, and somewhat vain; and Jon is submissive to Kate and vain about both his and her looks. I was done with him when I saw the episode where she had the tummy tuck and he was SO excited about it. Ugh.
Anyway, now they're all over the tabloids, each accused of having an extramarital affair... which they've both denied. They do not deny, however, that their marriage is in trouble and they don't know what's going to happen.
So. Do they ask for a break from production of the show so they can work on themselves and do what's best for their family? Nope. They keep on shooting. The new season started this week.
She says they've always done it for the kids and the kids' future, but that she hates being in the spotlight and being tracked by reporters and photographers. He says he never wanted to be involved and live his life in the public spotlight.
I say you can't have your cake and eat it, too.

My cousin, D., has finished her Weight Watchers at Work program (12 weeks), and she's lost 25 pounds!! That's awesome!!

Stanley the Caterpillar
This morning Stanely traveled with us to the rink to take in Keeper-Boy's hockey game.
DAY 8 -- 5/23/09 -- SATURDAY
He wosht my brothers hocee game.
Unfortunately, it was a clunker of a game. The kids seem to have forgotten how to skate after the first five minutes of the game (during which they scored their lone goal), and Keeper Boy let in several goals that he should've had. Final: 8 - 1.
Better luck this afternoon. I did get a good shot of Keeper Boy making a save.

Stanley the Caterpillar
We have arrived in our hotel at the Philadelphia airport. Stanley traveled well. No whining or complaining. No barfing. He just sat under J-Mav's seat quietly. When we arrived, he checked out the bed.
DAY 7 -- 5/22/09 -- FRIDAY
We drove to Filadelfio. He checked out the hotl bed.
Then he took his place by the window, while J-Mav gave him a cool spritz.
